The manufacturing process of PTFE coated high-temperature cloth mainly includes the following key steps:

Substrate preparation:

High quality alkali free glass fiber cloth is usually used as the substrate, and reinforced substrates are made by weaving methods such as plain weave, diagonal weave, satin weave, etc. This substrate has good mechanical strength and dimensional stability.

Pre treatment: Clean, phosphating or sandblasting the substrate to remove surface grease, dirt and oxides, and improve the adhesion between the coating and the substrate.

After sandblasting treatment, it may be necessary to use a white cleaning cloth for polishing to further improve the surface roughness.

Coating preparation: Mix polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin, additives, and solvents in a certain proportion, stir evenly, and form a coating material. The types and quantities of additives will be adjusted according to specific application scenarios and requirements.

Put the mixed materials into a grinder for grinding to make them more uniform and delicate, in order to improve the quality and performance of the coating.

Coating application: The coating material is uniformly applied to the surface of the substrate using immersion or spray coating methods. The immersion method usually involves immersing the substrate into the coating material and then removing and drying it; The spraying method is to spray the coating material onto the surface of the substrate through spraying equipment.

During the coating process, it is necessary to control the thickness and uniformity of the coating to ensure its quality.

Drying and curing: Place the coated substrate in a drying device for drying to remove solvents and moisture. The drying time and temperature will affect the quality and performance of the coating.

After drying, high-temperature curing treatment is also required to tightly bond the PTFE coating with the substrate, forming a stable composite material. The curing temperature and time are adjusted according to specific application scenarios and requirements.

Sintering treatment (optional):

In some cases, sintering treatment is also required to improve the adhesion and wear resistance of the coating. The temperature and time of sintering treatment will also be adjusted according to specific application scenarios and requirements.

Post processing and inspection:

Post treatment of the cured PTFE coated high-temperature cloth, such as cutting, polishing, etc., to meet the needs of different application scenarios.

Conduct quality inspection on finished products, including visual inspection, performance testing, etc., to ensure that the products meet relevant standards and requirements.
